What is this life but evanescent in nature. How can one fall in love with a day that destroys a month, or a month that destroys a year or a year that destroys a life time.

Instead work for a day whose judgement will dictate your eternity.

Look how beautifully imam Ibn kathir رحمة الله عليه explains the value and significance of the Arabic language

‎{ إِنَّآ أَنْزَلْنَاهُ قُرْآنًا عَرَبِيًّا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ }

‎وذلك لأن لغة العرب أفصح اللغات وأبينها، وأوسعها، وأكثرها تأدية للمعاني التي تقوم بالنفوس، فلهذا أنزل أشرف الكتب بأشرف اللغات، على أشرف الرسل، بسفارة أشرف الملائكة، وكان ذلك في أشرف بقاع الأرض، وابتدىء إنزاله في أشرف شهور السنة، وهو رمضان، فكمل من كل الوجوه

(Verily, We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur’an in order that you may understand.)

The reason why the arabic language was chosen is because it is the most eloquent, articulate, and encompassing of languages. And it is the most expressive of the meanings that can arise from oneself.

Therefore, the most honourable Book was revealed in the most honourable language to the most honorable Messenger صلى الله عليه و سلم, delivered by the most honourable angel, in the most honourable land on earth, and its revelation started during the most honourable month of the year; Ramadan. Thus, the Qur’an is perfect in every aspect.

Ibn Rajab رحمة الله عليه writes:
The smell which emanates from the fasting person is better than the fragrance of musk. The semi-nakedness of the Muhrim (the person wearing ihram) who dresses like this in order to visit His house is more beautiful in His sight than wearing suits. 
The wailing of sinners over their own selves out of His fear is superior to tasbih (glorifying Allah سبحانه و تعالى). The submission of the humble ones to His grandeur actually demonstrates their awe. The humility of those who fear His wrath actually demonstrates their dignity. 
The exposure of those who truly love Him is better than concealment. Spending one’s life in order to die in His path is actually a source of life to the person. The hunger of fasting people for His sake actually entails satiation. Their thirst in quest of His pleasure actually entails quenching of their thirst. Those who strive in his service actually experience comfort.
