‎‏قال الإمام ابن تيمية – رحمه الله- :

‎‏” لا يحصل الإخلاص إلا بعد الزهد،

‎‏ولا زهد إلا بتقوى ، والتقوى متابعة الأمر والنهي”.

‎‏مجموع الفتاوى ١/ ٩٤

Ibn Taymeeyah رحمة الله عليه said:

Sincerity can not be reached except after asceticism and there is no asceticism without taqwa. And taqwa is to adhere to the commands of what is lawful and unlawful.
