قال ابن القيم رحمه الله:

‏على قدر تجريد التوحيد⁩ تكون صحة التوكل .

‏فإن العبد متى التفت إلى غير الله .

‏أخذ ذلك الالتفات شعبة من شعب قلبه.

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمة الله عليه said:

Based on one’s purity of tawheed will be the soundness of their reliance on Allah. So if the slave turns to other than Allah. That turning will result in a portion (of that purity of tahweed) to be taken away from their heart.
