يقول الشاعر
ومن العَجائبِ والعجائبُ جَمّةٌ
قُرب الحَبيب وما إليه ﻭﺻﻮﻝُ
كالعيس في البيداءِ يقتُلُها الظَمأ
والماءُ فَوق ظُهورها مَحمولُ
The poet said:
From what is truly amazing
Is being close to your lover but having no way to reach them
Like the camel in the desert who dies of thirst
While carrying water on his back.
